Like the sound of one tree crashing to the floor of the biggest, widest, most ever-growing forest, what will happen if I launch a blog but nobody is around to read it?

My guess is that it will become progressively more awesome. Perhaps in a converse twist, the fewer people who read it, the more insightful, witty and entertaining it will become.

This is my first post in my first blog. Though I am a writer, it took a while to enter the blogging world. The real reason is that I wanted 156 million other people to start a blog first. Now that this number is achieved, I am ready to enter the dense digital forest. And hear my tree fall over and over again. And just maybe people will drop by to read… er, hear… it.

Most of my dispatches here will focus on writing in one way or the other. Though if there is a tale too interesting not to tell, a morsel of breaking news I can’t pass up, I will serve it up and volley it over to you. (Sorry, I’m watching Wimbledon right now.) 

Whatever I write, I hope it is fun and enjoyable to read.
